Shadows stopped screaming and started writing big rock singles. Like Avenged Sevenfold--who open for BFMV in the U.K.--this four-man Welsh metal sensation dutifully play the Iron Maiden-goes-screamo card, grinding and blasting between a couple of obligatory sad, tender acoustic tracks. (Note to headbangers: You might want to skip the emo-damaged "All These Things I Hate [Revolve Around Me].") Hell screw A7X, I went to Taste of Chaos in OKC, Oklahoma just to see Bullet and Atreyu... the mosh pit were killer...
