Foxy Shazam - IntroducingPosted by Laila Hanson on 03-Jun-08 @ 03:53 PM
[3/5]Introducing is really intriguing or just plain odd. The band seemingly take cues from Chiodos and the Fall Of Troy, but the music is driven by spastic piano melodies and nearly senseless vocals resulting in what sounds like My Chemical Romance on an acid trip. The quintet slap you across the face with their passion for performance, but considering Foxy bill themselves as "party starters," you spend quite a lot of time wondering what sort of parties these guys attend. Parts of Introducing are a real blast, but playing this thing beginning-to-end feels a little like staring at a strobe light for half an hour.
