HQ: Wilmington, IL NOW PLAYING: Triumph And Parade EP THE STORY SO FAR: These five friends from the Chicago suburbs wrote songs together for a couple years before deciding to form Triumph And Parade in 2005. Since then, the band have released an EP, opened for the Pink Spiders and the Receiving End Of Sirens and are currently working on an acoustic EP. If that doesn't show their dedication, perhaps drummer Richard Shell can elaborate. "We've made major sacrifices--from quitting school to deferring loans to selling homes and quitting jobs--to pursue our dream of playing music." WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: Committed they may be, but what about TAP's sound? "We all listen to different music, so we bring in our own influence from random genres," explains Shell. "We listen to everything from the Beatles and Pink Floyd to Circa Survice and Blindside. Our combination of influences helps us create a sound that resonates in today's modern 'rock' genre."
